Each notebook contains 50 leaves (100 sides) of high quality, 120gsm paper which is sustainably sourced and FSC approved.

A5 Notebook dimensions are 148mm x 210mm in soft bound and very slightly bigger in hard bound.

All of our covers are printed with a beautifully smooth matte laminate finish.

Shipping

We aim to print, bind and ship your custom book within two working days of you placing your order. However, during busy times at our printer, this can be up to 5 working days to ensure all of our books are perfect.

We use a 24 hour delivery service so your order will be with you the day after you receive your shipping notice. Watch out for your email including your tracking info!

Kaleidoscope Notebook – A mass of colours from fluttering wings.

Our Kaleidoscope Notebook is inspired by lepidopterology (the study of butterflies and moths) and mesmerising patterns, a design sure to make a bold impact!

Kaleidoscope is the name given to a bunch of butterflies.  A pub quiz question you’ll never get wrong now! A word that’s used for the beautiful bunch which emanates from the stunning array of colours and patterns many fluttering wings create.  It’s believed the phrased is coined from the Victorian optical instrument of the same name. The word kaleidoscope comes from a Greek phrase meaning ‘to view a beautiful form’.

Kaleidoscopes creates a beautiful colourful display using colours, patterns and mirrors.

In 1816, Sir David Brewster invented the optical instrument. However in the 1870’s along came American Charles Bush who revitalised the kaleidoscope. In doing so,  became the first person to mass market and produce them.  Popularity peaked during the Victorian era, with elegant homes having a parlour scope for family entertainment.  With the electronic age of radio and television, kaleidoscopes had become mostly children’s toys by the mid 1900’s.
